SetForge collects nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services. Everything you log stays on your phone.

The short version

The Android build does not request the INTERNET permission. You can verify that on the Google Play listing under “App permissions”. An app without it cannot open a network connection at all — so this page is describing what the app is incapable of doing, not just what it promises not to do.

What is stored, and where

Your workouts, plans, templates, bodyweight entries and settings are written to a database file inside the app’s private storage on your device. That file is not readable by other apps. It is never uploaded anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.

The exercise catalogue and its illustrations ship inside the app itself, so browsing exercises does not fetch anything either.

What leaves your phone

Only what you deliberately send, and only where you send it. SetForge itself never initiates any transfer.

Out, when you ask

Back up all data and Export training log (CSV) create a file and hand it to your device’s share sheet. You choose the destination — email, a cloud drive, a messaging app. Once it leaves, that destination’s own privacy policy applies, not this one.

In, when you ask

Restore from backup reads a file you pick. Nothing is read without you selecting it.

Notifications

Rest-timer notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by your operating system. No push service is used, so nothing about your training is sent to a notification server.

Analytics and crash reporting

None. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter and no advertising identifier in the app. Aggregate figures such as install counts and crash rates are visible to us only through Apple’s and Google’s own store dashboards; those come from the platform, are not linked to you, and we cannot tie them to anything you logged.

If you email support

This is the one place personal data reaches us, and only because you chose to send it. A message to support@setforge.site carries your address and whatever you write. It is routed by Cloudflare Email Routing and forwarded to a personal mailbox, kept until your question is answered, and then deleted. It is used for nothing else.

It also cannot be connected to anything you logged — not as a policy, but because none of that ever reaches us in the first place.

Your rights

Apart from an email you send us, no personal data reaches us — so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase on your behalf, and no request is needed to exercise those rights. You hold the data directly:

Export it

Both sit under SettingsData

  • Back up all data
  • Export training log (CSV)

Delete it

Uninstalling the app removes the database with it. On Android you can also clear the app’s storage.

Under Swiss revDSG and the EU GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. They are listed here for completeness; in practice they are satisfied by the two actions above.

Children

SetForge is a training log for general audiences and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future version of SetForge ever transmits anything — optional cloud backup, for instance — this page will say so before that version ships, and the change will be opt-in.
